“Tip #11: Know what to do in a zombie attack. We’ve been practicing for this one for a long time. We don’t want to have to leave you behind. Well, that about covers it. Congratulations on taking your first steps on the road to nerd girl nirvana. Know that you have selected the finest kind of woman possible. Way to go, champ!” —The Park Bench: How to Meet and Woo a Nerdy Girl

First off, today is Joss Whedon’s birthday, so I deem that important internet goings on.

In that vein, we have a fantastic display in the art of naming geeky children. (via @whedonesque)

And tonight I’m going to the midnight showing of Transformers and while it’d be nice if it was good, I’m okay with it being THIS BAD. Roger Ebert sure can ream em out. (via @bonniegrrl)

I may have a small obsession with Twilight.  I may have had it since the first book came out. I realize it’s horrible and angsty and give vampires a bad name, but that is also why I love it.  Anyway BARBIE DOLLS!

And...Begin!

I’ll mark this now.  I’m going to start doing my own blogging thing where I’ll talk about what I want, but the major thing I expect to do is round up links. A sort of “What you missed on the internet today” giving credit where credit is due.  I find some stuff on my own, but I get a lot from Twitter and the people I follow.  I’ll see how this goes.
