Next up, a picture of Obama in a threesome with Hitler and Idi Amin. It’s amazing what a fevered imagination, some painting skills and no education can produce …

It’s funny you should mention that, because…

I thought this picture was notable because I doubt most Americans even know who Idi Amin was.

The difference between bearing arm then and bearing arms now is HUGE.

Then, citizens were hunting. Then, citizens were creating a new country from scratch, and worrying that another country was going to strong arm them. Then, militias and citizens were the “police force.”

Now, guns are used for crime. They are pretty rarely used for hunting, private citizens have no worries about foreign invasion, and there’s an ACTUAL police force (who, frankly, I wouldn’t trust with with a gun any day of the week).

I don’t know what I think about a private citizen’s right to bear arms, but I do know comparing the field from them with the field now is ridiculous. They are apples and oranges.

About

I spend time on the internet. Too much time. Far too much time.
I'm super crazy in a fun and awesome way (just trust me).
I'm a conniseur of teen fiction (part of the crazy).
I have a habit of creating strange science fiction/fantasy plots, writing them down on bits of paper, and losing them.
I love bad movies and rom-coms. I also love great movies and movies that make me sad.
I've been having a love affair with the television my entire life.
Comics make me happy. Very happy. Especially Swamp Thing.
Right now, I'd rather be eating tacos and listening to Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog in my car.
Or watching Doctor Who with a cocktail in my hand and something baking in the oven.
